A Note About The Project

It is a constant resistance exercise to believe that what I research has the same importance like the local swiss design project. And the way I want to tell and show my story. I can feel today (2023) at the second try with this website how I miss the deep exchange about what I was talking about. It kept on the oberflche/surfface. I hope I will find this deep exchange in the future. This is the beginning of the research. The working class has always had to fight for their culture if it was not made trendy by the elite. The non-Western working-class culture has one of the biggest resistances I have ever seen. Brazilian pop culture always reached out to the world. Samba till the modern baile funk. I use the craftship Crochet as a pop cultural phenomena in a modern trend tool to research a society period and development. It is an attempt to show what's going on through daily life. How archiving the moment can help to document the story of the working class and pop culture that is always seen as not that important. Let us understand better where we are going. Preserving the now  and documenting crochet development to see the progress of Rio de Janeiro’s craftsmanship aesthetics .

This Project  “Between Heritage and Contemporary Aesthetics” is  a project that emerges in the field of my Studies at “ZHdK — Zurich University of the Arts”  of the Department Design “Trends and Identity” and my exchange Semester in PUC  Department Design “Pontifical Catholic University of  Rio de Janeiro''.  I choose to do the theoretical part and praxis part about  crochet as an Research methods and devolved an  transmission to showcase the Research in new forms as normally known in form of research papers and traditionally academic language text.
